Sheri has struggled with her weight since she was a teenager. For Sheri, the most painful aspect of being overweight was feeling like an embarrassment to her two boys. Nothing hurt her more than the thought that her own children might feel humiliated by their "fat mom." Although she never disclosed her fear, it was a thought that often haunted her. Instead of taking action, she generally just ate more to ease the pain. She finally said "enough is enough"; she made a commitment to herself to turn her life around. Sheri lost 127 lbs on her own through sensible dieting and exercise and was inducted into the Joy Fit Club in September 2008, but at the time still had 23 lbs to go to reach her goal. Sheri made a pact with Joy to drop the last pesky 20+ pounds together, using Joy's LIFE Diet as her guide.
Now, in just four months on LIFE, Sheri has reached her goal weight of 141 pounds. She hasn't weighed less than 150 pounds since she was a freshman in high school! Plus, Sheri truly is in the best shape of her life. Sheri adopted a tough cross-training routine that helped her dropped her last few pounds and has participated in multiple 5Ks in the past year.
