These Monster Mouths are a fun spin on the usual apple with peanut butter. They’re fun for kids, but adults will love them too!

This recipe makes 4 Servings
Ingredients:
  • 1 apple
  • 8 teaspoons nut butter
  • 3 tablespoons slivered almonds
Preparation:

Core and cut the apple into 8 slices. On one side of each apple slice spread about 1 teaspoon of nut butter. Add about 6 pieces of slivered almonds to the peanut butter so that they are sticking up. Pair up the apple slices to form “mouths” – allowing peanut butter to act as the “glue.”

NOTE: Alternatively use miniature marshmallows for the “teeth” by adding 6 of them to the peanut butter on 4 of the apple slices. Pair with the remaining apple slices. This version is 95 calories per “mouth.”
