Don’t waste your calories on sugary margarita mixes. Instead, whip up this light and refreshing tequila cocktail, which pairs perfectly with these Turkey Tacos. It’s a fiesta in a glass!

This recipe makes 1 margarita
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1½ ounces tequila
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:

To make simple syrup, microwave sugar and water for 10 to 20 seconds, or until sugar is dissolved.

Combine tequila, lime juice and simple syrup in small glass and mix well. In a blender, blend ice until consistency resembles shaved ice. Scoop shaved ice into glass, and pour tequila mixture over ice. Run lime wedge around the rim of the glass and garnish with lime wedge. Enjoy!
