- 1 pita, 100% whole-wheat
- 2 tablespoons nut butter, natural (such as peanut butter, almond butter, soy nut butter, or sunflower butter)
- fresh fruit sliced (banana, apple, purple grapes, or strawberries)
Store-bought “toaster pastries” are loaded with sugar, white flour, and artificial ingredients, but some kids just love them, so I created a healthy spin-off with nutrient-rich, whole foods like fresh fruit and creamy nut butter.

Cut a slit in the pita to create a pocket. Spread nut butter on the inside of the pocket and stuff with the fruit. Seal it up and bite in!
