Here’s a fun new take on your everyday burger, inspired by the popular Italian caprese salad. The addition of the mozzarella and pesto makes for a delicious and fragrant combination that is sure to satisfy your tastebuds.

This recipe makes 4 Servings
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground chicken breast (or lean ground turkey)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 thin slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tomato slices
Preparation:

Combine the ground chicken breast with the salt, pepper and garlic. Shape the mixture into 4 patties and grill approximately 5 mins per side or until cooked through.

Top each burger with 1 teaspoon pesto, 1 slice mozzarella, and 1 slice tomato.

Serving size: 1 burger
