Chicken Parmesan is an Italian favorite. A generous helping of buttery noodles, topped with breaded chicken and melted cheese — what's not to love? Unfortunately, when made at a restaurant, this classic dish packs a caloric punch.
Luckily, by making the dish in your own kitchen you can still enjoy the delicious combination of sweet marinara sauce and gooey cheese — minus the extra fat and calories. Try whipping up my quick and easy chicken parmesan at home for a healthy dinner the whole family will love in under 20 minutes!
- 5 ounce(s) chicken, breast
- 2 tablespoon marinara sauce
- 1 ounce(s) cheese, mozzarella, part-skim, shredded
Grill the chicken breast or sauté in a pan coated with non-stick cooking spray over medium heat until cooked through.
Top the cooked chicken breast with marinara sauce and cheese, and broil until hot and bubbly (or microwave 30 seconds to melt cheese).
