Buffalo Chicken Burger…with a Kick!

This lean and spicy burger tastes just like buffalo wings — minus the grease! Thanks to Joy Fit Club member Clint Lehman for sharing his recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Burger

Makes 4 burger patties.

1 lb. lean ground chicken
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup Frank’s Red hot sauce (more to taste)
2 oz. blue cheese crumbles
Dash of ground cumin
Dash of chili powder
Fresh ground black pepper
Couple shakes of crushed red pepper

In a large bowl mix all ingredients together. Form into 4 patties. Cook on a hot skillet, grill pan, or outdoor grill, 5 minutes per side or until cooked through.

*Reduce hot sauce from ¼ cup to 2 tablespoons and blue cheese from 2 ounces to 1 ounce to reduce sodium to 450 mg.
